Editor's note

What is included here

This page gathers audiovisual and bibliographic material on Saint Toribio Romo available on public platforms — mainly YouTube, Amazon, Scribd, and digital research archives. We do not host the videos or films on our servers; we link to their original locations with respect for their authors' rights. The curation focuses on materials of documented or proven devotional quality, avoiding the sensationalist content that abounds around the figure of the saint. If you know of valuable resources that do not appear here, you can recommend them to the archive via the contact email. Most videos are in Spanish; the few English-language resources available are marked accordingly.

Saint Toribio Romo · From Dream to Glory

Film produced in 2013 by a team from Jalostotitlán for devotional purposes and to extend knowledge of the saint's life. It depicts the life, ideals, and martyrdom of Toribio Romo — from his childhood dream of becoming a priest to the moment of his death at Agua Caliente. The entire cast and production team are natives of Jalostotitlán, giving the film a communal character unusual in Mexican religious cinema.

The film is distributed in DVD format through the shrine and Catholic bookstores such as Defiende tu Fe. It is not currently available on streaming platforms. To acquire it, the recommended channel is direct contact with the shrine or specialized Catholic stores.

30-Minute Biographical Video

This archive is preparing, for a future phase, a 30-minute audiovisual biography of Saint Toribio Romo, produced with artificial intelligence tools from the written, photographic, and testimonial material gathered at the site.

Saint Toribio Romo · A Biography

Thirty minutes of narration, archival imagery, and a visual tour of the key locations: Santa Ana de Guadalupe, San Juan de los Lagos, Cuquío, Tequila, and Agua Caliente.

In production · 2026

The planned approach is editorial and reverent, faithful to the sources, without gratuitous fictionalization, with a single narrative voice. When production is complete, the video will be embedded directly in this slot — first in Spanish, then in English for the migrant audience in the United States.

If you are interested in contributing photographic material, audiovisual testimonies, or traditional music from Los Altos that might form part of the production, write to the archive inbox or use the contact form.
